ATP synthase

ATP synthase is an ATPase. It is the final enzyme of oxidative phosporylation, and is located in the inner mitochondrial membrane where it utilizes the potential energy generated by an electron transfer chain to phosphorylate ADP to ATP. The F1Fo ATP synthase is the commonest chemi-mechanical motor found in nature.
